Video | 2017 Project Life Week 1

Hi guys! I'm back today sharing a Project Life process video with you. This is Week 1 for my 2017 Project Life album and it feels really good to get going on this album. I'll still be picking away at the remnants of my 2016 album because I am very behind on that but I wanted to keep moving forward as well so that I'm not behind on two years! I'm excited to try and produce weekly videos for you guys because it's a great and interactive way for me to give more insight into my process and my thoughts while creating. I'll share some details of the spread at the end of the video and I'm sharing more details below along with links to as many products that I used and could find for you guys! Check it all out!

Week No. 1 Spread

This week, the first full spread of 2017–is in the books! I feel quite proud to say that! And I'm even more proud that I made a video for you guys! If you can't tell, my Project Life style has really evolved to where it is today and therefore I've been sticking with it and really working out the kinks. As I mentioned in the video, this entire spread took me about 20 minutes to complete (minus prep time which I do in bulk–like making custom page protectors and printing photos). This spread is a mostly photo spread with a focus on photography, stamping, and minimal embellishment. Keep scrolling to get up close and personal with the details!

Here you can see the wood veneer stars that I adhered to my photo with a glue pen as well as the 'obsessed with' stamp from Kellie Stamps (Just FYI her shop is on a small vacay but I will try to link appropriately when it opens up again!) That stamped image I simply attached with my absolute favorite–the Tiny Attacher with matching gold staples!

Here you can get a closer look at the copper die cut circle from my January Kit and how I added some journaling to that. The chipboard flag is from Ali Edwards' past 'Create' Story Kit and the digital 'Monday' Stamp is from her as well! The 'We Were Here' stamp is from Kelly Purkey's collab with Hero Arts and the 'On This Day' phrase sticker in the top right is from Heidi Swapp's memory planner series.

This is a closer detail of the 'Oh Yes' die cut comes from the Jolly Holiday Scrapbooking Kit by Studio Calico and is designed by One Little Bird and the adorable snowflake stamp is from Kelly Purkey's 'Done and Done' stamp set. I just tacked those onto the outside of the page protector with my all time favorite adhesive, the Tombow Permanent Adhesive.

This 'Happy Home' stamp is from Kelly Purkey's 'Make Magic' stamp set and although the image didn't come out too crisp (I knew I should have rubbed an eraser over top the stamps first!) I still love the detail.

Here's a closer look at the rubber embellishment from Ali Edward's 'Create' Story Kit as well as the 'We Ate This' from the same 'New Adventures' stamp set by Kelly Purkey in collab with Hero Arts. Also a little closer look at my 'New Year New You' 3x3 card from the January Kit.

This detail gives you a glimpse at my weekly date label using the Labels Stamp and Cut Set from Kelly Purkey + Hero Arts along with some more gold mini staples. Inside I used a rolling date stamp that came in an A Beautiful Mess kit a while ago. To the right you can see the 'BRRR' digital overlay by Ali Edwards that I placed on my photo prior to printing!
