'Sunshine' Scrapbook Layout
Hi All! I'm back this week with a lovely scrapbook layout titled 'Sunshine'. I absolutely love pulling inspiration from other art forms to inspire my scrapbooking and lately - quilting has been my go to. I saw this lovely jagged quilted backpack and loved all the angles and lines and colors. I pulled my inspiration from there and began laying out the star of this layout - the background! Keep reading to see how it's done!
I simply cut out random angular shapes and pieced them together with a little white space in between for balance. The patchwork is made from various studio calico papers from the last few kits. Once I was happy with the color and layout, I placed my bright photo in the bottom corner. To finish it off I added some Seven Paper chipboard phrase pieces in pink on and around my photo to give the title/journaling/sentiment all in one! Because the background is so vibrant, I didn't want to outshine anything else with a big bold title too so I think keeping it simple and in the same color story as the papers really helps this spread.
