CUSTOM WRAPPING PAPER + A FREEBIE
Hi all! I'm back today sharing some hand lettered wrapping paper that I made and got printed through Shutterfly. It's the perfect addition to your traditional gift wraps and I love having that 'handmade' element under the tree! Keep reading to see how I made and used this pattern to get my own custom wrapping paper and be sure to download your own, too!
For this year's wrapping paper I grabbed my Tombow dual brush pen and wrote out the words merry + bright plus some extra asterisks for decoration. I digitized the lettering in Illustrator and turned it into a repeating pattern. I looked at the Shutterfly printable wrapping paper first to make sure the dimensions were correct and sized my print to 12" x 15". Once my repeating pattern was finished I saved it as a jpeg and uploaded it to Shutterfly, ordered my paper and waited for it to arrive! The paper is super glossy and thick–luxurious almost! It's buttery and holds up around your boxes. I would definitely say check it out!
I paired my custom black and white wrapping paper with some plain kraft and red wrapping paper to balance out the tree, and plenty of ribbons and tags from Target to customize each package. Another great inclusion this year is another freebie I offered - hand lettered gift tags (seen in the 'to / from' and the 'a gift for you' above).
