Hey lovelies! I'm back this week sharing a little type of layout that I've been wanting to try for a while - a full page photo as my background! Here I've paired it with a full width title and some little embellishing. My goal was to keep it super simple and really let the photograph and bright colors shine. Hope you enjoy!
Hi all! I Finally got a chance to sit down and work a little bit on my Week in the Life album and I'm pretty excited about the possibilities. I'm starting my layout with a stamped vellum page using the 'week in the life' stamp from the Ali Edwards Kit in an all over scattered polka dot pattern. I mean who doesn't love a good polka dot! I paired this stamping with the kit thicker that says 'life is full of adventure'! and that's the first glance at what my album is about. I'm not concerned with the dates on the title page because we'll get into that later so this is just about the feeling of the album for now and I'm loving it! Definitely going to look into scattering some vellum elements throughout.
Hey guys! This week I'm sharing a layout that I showed you for the Kellie Stamps Instagram Hop earlier this week! I wanted to give you some more details on the spread and how I used the 'MY FAVE' stamp set from Kellie's latest release to polish off this week from my Project Life 2016 Album.
Hi there lovelies! Glad to have you back with me this week for another installment of Monday Mood Board! This week is on the concise side and I'm really honing in on a couple images to really tightly look at some inspiration. This week we have a strong color, typography, and texture direction with a little layout inspiration as well so keep scrolling and be sure to check out the sources, below!
Hey! I'm back and although I continued to take tons of photos for these days, I just want to share a couple of my favorites with you to wrap up the week. I'll be putting my album together soon and will be sure to share that with you here but for the time being - let's jump into some photos and stories for the end of Week in the Life!
Hey! I'm back again to share some of my Week in the Life process in photos and words. I haven't been working on the album quite yet but getting down the stories and gathering the images is really most of the work so I'm hoping sharing these little tidbits will help me in the long run - and give you a little inspiration as well! Hope your week is going well!
Hey guys! I'm here this week and I'm definitely participating in Week in the Life - along with a ton of other people obviously and that's part of what makes it so great! The community and the openness and inspiration that's a flow this week. I'm gonna share my photos and little jotted down words to help me document the week once it's over. Maybe it'll inspire you to take some photos and jot some words down to! Check out my Monday and Tuesday below in photos and words.
Hey guys! I'm back this week with a killer mood board - at least it's floating my boat so I hope you feel the same! This week is all about the texture for me - and a little pattern and layout for good measure. As I mentally prepare to tackle Week in the Life (which will be in progress once this is up) - I'm really looking to up my layout game and maybe think of some fun new ways to document stories this week! In this mood board I've pulled some really interesting graphic design pieces with people that have been cut out from their backgrounds and I'm really thinking about using that idea throughout the week - let's see what happens! Hope you're inspired and be sure to check all the sources linked below!
Hi All, because this week is a little different we're going to mix it up and skip the Sunday Sketch! Instead I have a little round up of the NSD challenges I posted on Instagram yesterday (in more detail here!) and a little shoutout to all the Mom's out there!
Hey all! I'm back this week sharing a layout I made titled "Nailed It" with the new stamp set release from Kellie Stamps - and guess what guys, clear is back again! The main stamp set that I used (seen below) is titled My Fave and is available now for preorder! Believe me - you'll want to grab it, it's super versatile and all around perfect for documenting both project life and regular sentiments on your layouts. I paired simplistic black and white stamping with a white roses cut file that I made and cut with my silhouette cameo. Then, I placed all of that on vellum which I laid over a selfie I had of myself from this month and stitched around the entire layout for stability.
Hi guys! I'm back with another Sunday Sketch Series and today I want to introduce you to a way to scrap the sketch all together and cut out some of the work. It will be less creative, but when you're in a time crunch - using templates are a great way to get a usable 'sketch' and put it right to work in Photoshop. This week, I'm using a template from Little Lamm & Co's February templates and putting the basis of the design to work for me. Using templates is a great way to get a structure down for a page and then if you want, you can add in any extra embellishments that you want. Also, because it's in photoshop - you can manipulate the template as much as you want also!
Hey guys! Who doesn't love documenting the successes and wins in life? Well I sure do - so I want to share one of those layouts with you today! I know not all of our lives are perfect but when the opportunity to scrap some happiness strikes - I'll definitely take it. Because the subject matter was pretty darn happy, I chose to make this spread bright and playful. The main focus is the title and smattering of transparent circles but I definitely think they compliment the photo quite nicely. For all the products and information - check down below!
This week, I'm pulling on the summer vibes. I know we just hit our Spring stride but daydreaming of the sunshine and the beach just had me feeling somewhat nautical. If you're dreaming of summer as well, this board will speak to you!
Hey guys! This week I'm here with a quick and fun layout that brings back the painting! I started off this layout with an idea - I had recently received a couple color theory acrylic paints and I just knew I wanted to make my own patterned paper with them. I just scattered some brush stroke filled grey circles in a polka dot pattern across my 9X12 paper and then added spontaneous green leaves where I felt compelled. Once I had this lovely paper made, I didn't want to detract too much with crazy embellishments so I chose a simple photo, placed some thickers over it for my title and placed a journaling tag and one number ticket from the current Film Club Kit from Studio Calico.
